The Ashen Sun Accord

The Full History - From Past to Present

A council of five Void Elves had a vision for the future of the Ren'dorei people, but only three lingered for awhile longer: Alyssane Brightsong, Synakin Sanguine, and Sandriellis Silvermourn. Their goal was to prove their people as more than just refugees for the Alliance, but as worthy members. To better accomplish this goal, Marsith Duskfire as well as Illindrà Dustbearer were taken in as advisors to both the Accord's people and their movements.

Establishing a foothold

In the month following it's creation, The Accord vowed to lend their aid to the Alliance in the Battle for Azeroth by claiming a place to call their own. Neighboring just outside Quel'thalas territory were many abandoned Quel'dorei lodges in the Eastern Plaguelands.

Lead by Synakin Sanguine, a campaign against a mad necromancer that had claimed the lodge as his own took place. With glaive throwers at their defense, they were able to vanquish the necromancer's minions and gain a critical location on the Eastern Kingdoms.

This lodge would serve as a location for many of their homeless to go to for food and beds. For the new future it represented, it was renamed Ren'belore Lodge:  "Shadow Sun."

The Void Crystals

The council, now with both Illindra and Marsith officially promoted into it from their advisor positions, would set their eyes on a new task to help the Alliance at the start of the new year, 2019. Alyssane brightsong had grown fascinated at the thought of a great source of power from a unique set of void crystals that could rival the fel crystals she witnessed among the Sin'dorei.

The journey began from rumors in Boralus, but it would ultimately lead them to delving into titan vaults in the Storm Peaks and a trail of naga to the Eye of Azshara. Many puzzle pieces were found that the Ascended would attempt to crack open.

Unfortunately, Alyssane's trials with these puzzles would break the integrity of her own mind forcing her to flee away from the Accord. Soon after, Sandriellis Silvermourn abandoned the Accord and Marsith retired to his research. The crystals were never found.

The Rise of the Magistrix

With the failure of finding the void crystals and the fall of the old council, all that remained were Illindrà Dustbearer and Synakin Sanguine. Preferring to work in the shadows as all good rogues do, Syn looked to Illindra to take command of the Accord.

For the rest of order's history, they had always ruled democratically. She was nervous, but there was no choice if the Accord was to survive. Illindra agreed and in late February of 2019 became the Magistrix.

Her fiancée, Livelle Dawnflow, also rose up to fill in an empty seat of the council and to lead the Voidsworn - the men and women she fought beside as equals - as Ranger-Captain.

Seeking out additional help, Illindra went to her old professor and almost father-in-law at one point, Celeran Etherfate. Though a Quel'dorei, he agreed to advise the Ascended to his best ability.

A New Mission

Illindra found many flaws in the direction they were running the Accord before. She viewed having their primary focus to be aiding the Alliance as a mistake. Their focus should have always been to Fight for a New Future for their people.

Lonemyst Isle is a small island just North of Azuremyst. It was settled originally by draenei following the crashing of the Exodar on Azeroth. For better or worse, the Mag'har orcs that recently joined the Horde had made a mission to slaughter them all and to steal a new home from the race that stole their last.

Though weary of the draenei's prejudice views, the magistrix agreed to hear the krokuul Vorruul's plea. He offered her a deal: save and evacuate his people off of Lonemyst and they would be given full ownership of it.

For the next seven months, the void elves would help their most distant allies.

The Lonemyst Campaign

Despite the uneasy "partnership" with the draenei, the Accord was determined to have a land to call their own. A place where they could grow food, build homes, and live at least somewhat similarly to the way they once had in Quel'thalas as opposed to tent-dwellers of Telogrus. A New Future.

Xakarius Nightforge, a retired veteran and a spellbreaker back from when Quel'thalas was in it's prime, had agreed already to advise Livelle's Riftblades in the Voidsworn; but his true task was now before him.

He and the Ranger-Captain worked closely together to coordinate their plan to drive the Mag'har out. For the most part, he lead each major movement in person.

They began by docking in the north and fighting through a swamp of creatures to reach the first draenei village, Caemiir.

Conflict After Conflict

Caemiir was suffering from a void induced famine caused by shadow priests. Celeran and his Ascended were able to pin the problem to a crashed draenei ship where they could undo the damage done to the land.

From there, they moved to the center of Lonemyst, Kurenai-Vakern. From the beginning, they encountered orcs trying to take their observatory as a key strategic location. There were many smaller attacks and plots done in the shadows to this place until the final assault.

Lilen Vale, the recently promoted Spymaster of the Voidstalkers, lead her rogues in several smaller scouting missions before were they were able to find critical information that turned the tide of that final assault.

The Voidsworn successfully defended Kurenai-Vakern while the Ascended unleashed a void-controlled spore monster on the orcs' village.

Victory Over Lonemyst

Several of the Voidsworn, such as Braedeyn Stormstrider and Maekus Valeriel, assisted the Spymaster in interrogating orc prisoners that eventually squealed the location of their commander, Mug'dul Gravehorn, just south of Lonemyst's shore.

Xakarius and Lina'raeline, Livelle's twin, got themselves captured to allow for Arele Vale to set charges inside of the Mag'har warships undetected just the day prior.

The Magistrix personally lead the attack on the fortress. Though many were wounded, stabbed, and even shot; Mug'dul and his family would ultimately be captured.

Fearing for the safety of his wife and children while knowing that the Ren'dorei had bested them in every manner on the campaign, he signed a treaty agreeing to pull all Horde troops from Lonemyst Isle. The void elves had won themselves the island and renamed it Thalas'din Ren, or Home of the Void.

Warped Reality

Celeran Etherfate and Braedeyn Stormstrider, Lilen Vale's former right hand, were promoted onto the council following the victory over Lonemyst, making it a full 5 people once again.

Now with Thalas'din Ren under their control, the Accord sets itself on the process of building the foundations of the central city. Unfortunately, the process of building it wasn't much easier than claiming the land.

After failing to save a school for the troubled where the children had been slaughtered by their void-corrupted peers, they brought the source of the mischief back to Thala'sdin Ren for examination.

Simple lake water at first glance, but the power had been shattered and set loose by some unknown dock-worker. For a month, hallucinations, visions, and comas reaped the mind of many. Aberrations would form and infest the streets. Construction was delayed.

An ethereal that utilized the guise of the school's matron was identified and found on the isle. To their knowledge, he and his curse are now banished from their shores.

Thalas'din Ren

It took awhile to recover from the mental anguish that had been endured by the ethereal's scheming, but construction for the settlement began once again.

On November 21st of 2019, 1 year after the Accord was first formed, Thalas'din Ren was opened to all members of the Accord. People began moving out of Ren'belore lodge and other refugee locations to claim houses.

Civilians started to become a more essential part of the Accord as they formed jobs and took up non-combative roles. Attending events like the Tournament of Ages and the Brewfest Olympics had already been done, but now they could do more.

And with this new land, Illindra began seeking out new partnerships and connections within the Alliance.

While there have been some minor threats since people began moving in, none have been too dramatic to offer much note. So far.

The Future of the Accord

Where TASA is now

With the release of N'zoth from his prison, the Grand Alliance has been looking to the Ren'dorei for aid in ways to combat the old god's influence and the Black Empire.

Should victory be claimed on N'zoth, it is unlikely that his forces will evaporate into thin air. The remnants will linger on for many months to come. And with the new aid of Void Elf Death Knights, perhaps our people will thrive through it all.
